The area of communication has as main axis the development of students' verbal and nonverbal communication skills to express themselves through the different tools of language.
Learning English as a second language aims to consolidate and develop communication skills at an intermediate level according to International Standards of the Common European framework of reference for languages. Expectations in first and second semester are aimed at consolidating level Al and beginning transition to level A2. On the other hand, in third and fourth semester, considering the context, the possibilities of the teaching staff and available resources students will reach the threshold of level B1 through the development of communicative skills, listening comprehension, reading comprehension, expression and interaction and written expression.
English 3 is studied in third semester. The social situations of language are used so that students can communicate through communicative skills with the intention of explaining experiences and habits using "used to", reconstructing events using simple past, past continuous and connectors; describing the characteristics of people, places and objects using relative pronouns and developing information about instructions and obligations using phrasal verbs and object pronouns promoting assertiveness to reflect on habits, communicative skills to work cooperatively, inclusive environments to identify personal differences, creativity and social conscience..
Another important aspect that promotes the study program is the interdisciplinarity among subjects of the same semester, where different disciplines come together to work collaboratively to obtain results in the expected learning in an integral way allowing students to confront everyday situations to apply new knowledge.
